PEOPLE......portraits are conversations. between the mechanical clicks of the shutter there is a subtle dialog between photographer and subject. the catch of a breath, the genesis of a smile, the vague wistfulness of a memory passing across a face....like the shadow of a cloud across a mountain....
THINGS.....the world is full of things. assemblages, junk, talismans and fetishes, skyscrapers and pocket lint, toys, everyday items of importance or items of no importance whatsoever, doodads, gegaws, impedimentia, improbable as it may seem some leave too soon and some, never.
PLACES....i live in the country, it's big and open and some say it's lonely. it captures your soul in a way that you really don't come to understand until you're so deep into it that you become big and open and yes, a little lonely and then you end up all the way out on the horizon.
STUFF....some images simply defy categorization. Like UFOs and visual puns and shots that really don't fit into easy contemporary descriptions. Some cross over into the category of really bad photography but somehow.. well, you be the judge.
